More than 25 years ago Fiber Roofing extruded and made its first Fiber Reed Synthetic Thatch Tile.
When we started with the synthetic thatch roof tiles we had manufactured and sold more than 1 million Cape Reed Tiles worldwide. The recipe to embed Cape Reed stalks into a Polyurethane strip had been perfected. The same tested method that had been used to embed the cape reed thatch stalks into the Polyurethane backing strip we used to embed the Polypropylene round extruded mono-phi laments.
The Fiber Reed aritificial thatch tiles were sold via the fiber distributor network and as “partners” together a first project let to another until these Synthetic Tiles became the first choice on projects across the globe for architects and resort developers.
Fiber Reed require 5.4 tiles per square meter to provide a smooth completely natural looking grated thatch finish.
