The Fregate Island Private Resort in the Seychelles is renowned as
one of the world’s most exclusive holiday resorts.
If you visit www.fregate.com you will
see that the resort is amongst the top 10 holiday resorts in the world.
The project was won against world wide competition.
The resort was built 15 years ago. Since then the roofs have been thatched
three times, first with Cape Reed, then again with special Cape Thatch
Reed treated for longevity. When both failed, a third attempt was made
using Ilang Ilang, which has subsequently also failed. Each project was
completed at great expense with a resulting loss of revenue.
Africa Roofing completed a survey for the resort in June 2006. As early as
15 August 2006 a group of 38 workers left to re-thatch the entire resort.
The old roofs (before photos) have been thatched three times in 15 years
but had leaks and maintenance was a major problem. The new roofs (after
photos) have no leaks, will never need maintenance and will never have to
be replaced.
We can truly say: "We rest our case!"
